She was predeceased by: her son James Walker. She is survived by: her children, Michael Oates, Janice Oates-Jeffrey and Shelia Wood. She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
A wake was held on Monday, August 18th 2025 from 7:15 PM to 8:15 PM at the Golden Gate Funeral Home (4155 S R. L. Thornton Fwy, Dallas, TX 75224). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, August 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
