She was predeceased by : her parents, Robert S. Coleman and Cora Coleman; her husband Milton Penny; her siblings, Robert Joe, Clifford, Bobby, Willie Mae and Dorothy; her children, Deborah Ann and Stephen Wayne; and her daughter-in-law Dalinda Penny.

She is survived by : her children, David Penny and Pamela Coker (Joe); her granddaughter Sara Chatman (Jake); her sister-in-law Dorothy Duncan; and her close friend Vernice Penny. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the West Oaks Funeral Home (500 Hillcrest Dr N, Sulphur Springs, TX 75482). A graveside service was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Restlawn Memorial Park (5784 TX-154, Sulphur Springs, TX 75482).
