He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilma Parker Austin and L. D. Austin; his wife Janell Roper; and his son Robert W. Austin Jr.. He is survived by: his daughters, Juanell Wallwin and Juanice Bonniol; his grandchildren, Andrea, Robby, Eric, Jordan, Bruce Jr., Samantha, Andrew and Amber; and his great grandchildren, Brenna, Cody, Jaycee, Ryker, Dominik, Logan and Malik.

A funeral service was held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home (7405 W Northwest Hwy, Dallas, TX 75225).
