He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Lou Morris (Boling) and Robert McKell Morris. He is survived by: his wife Kathryn; his daughters, Sandra Morris and Michelle Morris Brubaker (Gary); and his grandsons, John Brubaker, Mark Brubaker and Daniel Brubaker.
A memorial service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Memorial Park (13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243). He began playing the cornet in the 6th grade and continued making music into his 90s, performing with as many as five different bands until the pandemic.
