He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Prothro and Alise Leonard Prothro; and his sister Pamela Prothro King. He is survived by: his cousin Kelley Whatley; his pets, Bart and Guinness; his brother Lance Prothro (Rhonda) of Rockwall; his brother-in-law Damon King; and his sibling's children, Lauren King Saatkamp, Taylor Prothro, Christina Prothro, Rachelle Roberts and Brad Roberts.
