“Marna, sorry to have missed the service. I still recall the time your family was at FPC downtown. Our kids were about the same age and spent quality time with each other back in the 70s. I always enjoyed the time we spent as adults too. Prayers for you and the family. Buddy Jordan”

Bill Melton wrote a sympathy message

“Dear Marna and Family- Sincere condolences on Steve's passing. He was one of the finest men I have ever known. Steve and I served together for many years in the Oak Cliff Lions Club, where he was a true leader. It was a pleasure to work on many Professional Engagements with Steve; always my pleasure to introduce the "Steve Bayless Orchestra". He fought health battles for many, many years, but God called Steve this time, knowing he was worn out. May God Bless Steve, you and the Family.”
