She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Layton and Opal Edith Cooper (Tracy); and her husband William "Dub" Smith Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Alan Smith (Leasa Liles), Scott Smith (Teresa) and Tracy Pence (Dan); her grandchildren, Stephanie Smith (John Shaffer), Travis Smith (Jamie), Andrea Diaz, Benjamin Pence (Samantha), Andrew Smith (Giovanny Bobadilla), Stacy Cavalier (Chris), Meagan Liles and Grant Liles; her great grandchildren, Berkley and Peyton Smith; and her brothers, Harold "Bud" Cooper (Judy), Charles Cooper (Betty) and Steve Cooper (Becky).
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Et Restland Funeral Home (13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX 75081). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM and at 2:00 PM. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association (in honor of Dub) or the Susan G. Komen Foundation (in honor of Sue).
