He was predeceased by: his parents, Geraldine "Jerry" Krause (Dierking) and Orville "Jack" Krause; and his brother Mark Krause. He is survived by: his significant other Dorrine DeChant; his sister Kathy Pittman (Larry); his sister-in-law Susie Krause; his sibling's children, Zachary Getty (Allison), Alex Krause, Zachary Pittman, Emily Krause (Cory Calhoon) and Mallory Pittman-Cotner (Derick Cotner); and his great-nieces, Eloise Krause, Rose Getty and Layla Cotner.
