He was predeceased by: his parents, William Caperton Burdett and Catherine Luella Burdett; and his siblings, Mary Catherine Stamps, Elaine Sue Barr and James Paul Burdett.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Lorraine "Joni" Burdett (Dinsmore); his daughters, Catherine "Cathy" DeVries (Sean) and DeAnna McNeil (Chad); and his siblings, Shirley, Geneva, Francis, Janet and David. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous extended family members and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Crossroads Church (13730 State Hwy 155, Tyler, TX 75703).
