He was predeceased by: his parents, Dovie Dowd "Bunnie" Travis and John Preston Travis, Jr.; his siblings, John Preston Travis, III and Carolyn Travis Cleaveland; and his brother-in-law Jack McRae Cleaveland, Sr..
He is survived by: his wife Jane M. Travis; his brother Michael Travis (Laura); his children, Toby Travis, Karen Travis, Diane Travis and Bryan Travis (Roya); and his grandchildren, Elizabeth (Zach), Russell Jolly, Taylor, Evan Zachary and Ariana Travis. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
