He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Esther; his children, Martin Yung (Vicki) and Cindy Irlbeck (James); his grandchildren, Christin Rea (Travis), Lauren Giese (Brian), Margaret Hood (Cory) and Brooke Yung; his great grandchildren, Grace Giese, Ella Giese, Colton Rea, Ava Rea and Josephine Hood; his parents, Benjamin Franklin Yung and Nona Ruth Hardy Yung; and his siblings, Ben Franklin Yung Jr. and Helen Ruth Meier.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the DFW National Cemetery (2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the All Saints Dallas Church (901 S Ervay St, Dallas, TX 75201).
The family requests that donations honoring Bill please be directed to Fellowship of Christian Athletes (National or local chapters) or First Baptist El Paso Foundation.
