He was predeceased by: his parents, John D. Alvis and Iva Estelle Weaver Alvis; his son Brian Alvis; and his brother-in-law Victor Walls. He is survived by: his sister Judy Walls of DeKalb, Texas; and his aunts and uncles, Mary Lou and Clete Weaver of DeKalb, Texas. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
