It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Barbaree Cherry of DeKalb, Texas, who passed away on May 2, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arval Barbaree and Mary Audie Barbaree; her husband Jack R. Cherry; her siblings, Eric Barbaree, Hoyt Barbaree, Doris Stultz and Kathy Nolan; her sons, Rodney Cherry and Jack Cherry Jr.; and her grandson Cory Wasmuth.
She is survived by: her children, Douglas Cherry (Heather) of Conway, Arkansas., Teresa Glazer (Bruce) of Delta and Barbara Chandler (Valton) of DeKalb, Texas.; and her brother Steve Barbaree of Lewisville.
