He is survived by : his children, Carmen Herrera, Richard Herrera Jr. John Albert (Aliana), Christina Herrera, Alexander Herrera and Eric Jacob Herrera; his siblings, Frances Mojica (James), Yolanda Benitez (Jorge), Sylvia Galvez (Richard), Alexander Herrera Jr., Mary Basilio (Efren), Diane Ontiveros (Charlie), David Herrera (Joann) and Estella Yanez (Mike); his brothers-in-law, James Mojica, Jorge Benitez, Richard Galvez, Efren Basilio, Charlie Ontiveros and Mike Yanez; and his grandsons, Marcelino Gonzalez and Michael Gonzalez. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, and numerous friends.
