She was predeceased by: her parents, Archie Short and Gertrude Short; her husband Clay Henson Jr.; her daughters, Brenda Gail Henson and Deborah Murphy (Debbie); and her siblings, Francis Stanley, Betty Smith, Barbara Cline, Lester Short and Joe Short.
She is survived by: her children, Dennis Henson, Darold Henson (Wilthia), Carolyn Ortega, Sandra Duncan (Allen) and Sheri Cook (Dewayne); and her brother Kenneth Short (Judy). She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Fisher Funeral Home Chapel (604 W Main St, Denison, TX 75020). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
