He was predeceased by: his parents, B. H. Armstrong and Minnie Armstrong; his son Harold Dean Armstrong Jr.; and his siblings, Tilden, Jessie, Melvin, Joe, Gerald, Elmo Armstrong and Bennie Armstrong (Doris Dowett).

He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Armstrong of Denison; his children, Kristy Beam and Steve Armstrong (Cindy) of Denison; his granddaughters, Amber Bradbury, Andrea Wasdin and Ashley Schramm; and his great grandchild Andrew Gossett.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Park Avenue Church of Christ (3000 Park Ave, Denison, TX 75020).
