He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil C. Montgomery and Cora J. Montgomery (Whitley); his wife Mary; and his children, Pam Pratt and Randy Montgomery.

He is survived by: his sons, Terry Glen Montgomery (Teresa) of Amarillo and Dennis Lee Montgomery (Suzann) of Denison, Texas; and his son-in-law Donald Pratt of Howe. He is also survived by four grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested a memorial donation to Hyde Park Presbyterian Church.
