He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Roberts and Lula Roberts; and his siblings, Tommy, Bill, Mickey, Bud, Sue and Joyce.
He is survived by: his children, Sonya Pullman (Tony), Maynard L. Roberts, Jr., Julie L. Kirby (Brian), Michael Byrd (Elaine), Delos Byrd, Makala Byrd-Roberts, Jordis Byrd-Roberts, Joe Newsome and Amanda Newsome. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
