He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgie Thompson and Bengie Thompson; his wife Virginia Thompson; his daughter Pam Bennett (King Bennett); and his siblings, Lester Thompson, J. B. Thompson, Elza Thompson, Ruby Moffett and Flora Thompson Mead.
He is survived by: his son Randy Thompson (Wendy) of Plano, TX; his grandchildren, Holly Szumila (Steve) of Sussex, WI, Alissa Thompson of Fort Worth, TX and Bryant Bennett (Cindy) of Van, TX; and his nephew Garry Thompson (Linda) of Denison, TX. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
