He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther James Hinson and Bula Mae Vann Hinson; his brother James Hinson; and his siblings-in-law, Marie and James Parker.

He is survived by: his sons, Joshua D. Hinson and Micah P. Hinson; his daughter-in-law Lina Maria Sanabria of Madrid, Spain.; his grandchildren, Ruslan Hinson (Rita) of Austin, Texas, Andrey Hinson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Levi Hinson (Bree) of Ada, Oklahoma, Noah Hinson of Ada, Oklahoma, Wiley, Mosey, Bird and Lula Hinson of Denison, Texas.; and his siblings, Frances Thornton (Jimmy), Billy Hinson (Joy), Jerry Hinson (Ann) and Louise Parker.
