The passing of Betty (Deatherage) Waldrep of Denton, Texas leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on July 17, 2025 at the age of 78. She was predeceased by: her parents, W. O. Deatherage and Tressie Deatherage; her husband Joe Keith Waldrep; and her brothers, Donald Deatherage and Truman Deatherage.
She is survived by: her daughters, Rhonda (Daryl Albritton), Judy (Lee Stelzer), Wendy (Miguel Ortega) and Angela Barfield of Denton, Texas.; and her brothers, Robert Deatherage, Lester Deatherage and Travis Deatherage. She is also survived by her 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home (1401 Halsell St, Bridgeport, TX 76426). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at the West Bridgeport Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in honor of Betty's passing.
