He was predeceased by: his parents, Sidney Ruffu and Marie Ruffu. He is survived by: his wife Debra Ruffu; his daughter Karessa; his son-in-law Damion Lewallen; his son William; his daughter-in-law Dahreen Ruffu; his stepson Wayne; and his granddaughters, Marie and Julianna.
He spent decades as a stamp collector and historical document preservationist, donating to the Denton County Courthouse on the Square and collecting many WW2 letters.
