She is survived by: her significant other Joseph Herbert Thomas; her children, Billy Joe Thomas (Shannon) of Sanger, Tammy Thomas Silva of Little Elm and Joseph Thomas (Robin) of Decatur; her grandchildren, Nicole Silva of Krum, Mason Thomas (Kelsey) of Sanger, Nathan Silva (Peyton) of Alvord, Logan Thomas of Sanger, J. T. Thomas of Decatur and McKayla Thomas of Decatur; her great grandchildren, Elliot, Masie Jo, Hazel, Harper and Denver; and her sisters, Lisa Lain and Tammy Chandler. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Memorials may be made, in Dorothy Thomas' name, to St. Jude Hospital.
