He was predeceased by: his parents, J. D. Simmons and Ada Simmons; and his brother J. D. Simmons Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Glenda Ann Simmons (Brock); his son Kirk Simmons (Cindy); his grandchildren, Brooke Davis (Clint) and Brock Simmons (Sarah); and his brother Tom Simmons (Paula) of Fort Worth. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
