Vince Baugher wrote a sympathy message

“I first heard about this special soul 20+ years ago when I started becoming active in race unity efforts in Southeast Denton and kept hearing the name "Dr. Eddy" as an active leader in this area. When I finally got to meet him, I was touched by his gentleness, kindness, and nobility. He inspired me, as a fellow white man, to continue to work to build greater bonds of friendship and fellowship among all races here in our great city. "Ye are all the flowers of one garden."
