He was predeceased by: his parents, Opal Christian Clampitt and Marshall Clampitt; and his siblings, Kenneth R. Clampitt (Bud), Roger Clampitt, Nita DeBerry, Betty Nichols and Martha Kay Clampitt.
He is survived by: his wife Laveta Joy Clampitt; his children, Kim Clampitt Yarbrough of Denton, Texas, Chris Clampitt (Diane Travis) and Paige (Troy Spillman) of Denton, Texas.; his grandchildren, Blake Spillman, Brooke Spillman, Nick Johnson, Madison (Dylan Brown), Hayden Yarbrough and Jesse Amberson; his great grandchildren, Illene Brown and Peyton Johnson; and his sister Brenda Clampitt of Atlanta. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Southmont Baptist Church or the Denton Noon Kiwanis Club, in honor of Les's legacy of faith, service and love.
