He is survived by : his wife Maria Apolonia "Pola" Monterroso (Tules); and his children, Joana Monterroso, Lissette Monterroso, Julissa Monterroso, Naty Guzman, Sorey Barillas, Iliana Barillas, Nelson Gonzalez, Jaime Gonzalez and Leo Garcia. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
