He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Henry Kay Jr. and Alice Mae Nielsen Kay; his wife Madeline; his children, Andrea Kay McFarland, Justin Kay, Jason Lamb, Lori Thielman and Kristi Young; his grandchildren, Alexandra, Abigail McFarland, Meyer, McCarty Lamb, Ethan, Keegan and RaeLynn Young; his cousin Linda McCarty; his great-grandparents, John Edwin and Lucy Della McCarty; his grandparents, John "Pat" and Maurine Kay; his aunt Mary Smith; his uncle David Kay; Jason, Lori, Kristi and Alice.
