He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Ernst and Emma Ernst (Kotwig); and his daughter Carol Kriewald. He is survived by: his wife Tracy Ernst of Denton; his children, Shannon Mackey Stenzel and Brandy Ernst Hathaway (Joshua); his grandchildren, Amanda Tucker, Jessica Stenzel, Matthew Stenzel and Kaitlyn Stenzel; his great grandchildren, Grayson Stenzel and Chloe Stenzel; his son-in-law Larry Kriewald; and his sister Bette Cacho. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel (808 S Reagan St, West, TX 76691). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
