He is survived by: his children, David Wilde, Robert Wilde (Linda), Glenn Wilde (Ruthanna) and Gail Wilde (David "Earl" Cox); his son-in-law Earl; his grandchildren, David, Alicia, Allison, Mara, Andrew, Lisa, Daniel, BrieAnna, Stuart, Adam, KristiAnna, Leesa, Ryan, Justin, Jacob, Alyssa and Emily; his great grandchildren, Briezy, Derrick and Mariah; and his brother Maurice Wilde.

Viewing was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM at the DeBerry Funeral Home (2025 W University Dr, Denton, TX 76201). The military honors was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home & Hillcrest Mausoleum & Memorial Park (7405 W Northwest Hwy, Dallas, TX 75225).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the San Diego Zoo in honor of Robert Donald Wilde.
