He was predeceased by: his parents, Hearthal Jesse Whitley and Elsie Mae Whitley (Fuller); his siblings, David Edwin Whitley, Ruby Lyles, Laverne Santore and Bitsy Belor; and his brother-in-law Lou Vrana.
He is survived by: his children, Sharp Whitley (Jana), Kenny Whitley (Jami) and Gina Whitley; and his sisters, Pat Blakely (Doc) and Betty Jean Vrana. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews, along with countless dear friends.
