It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mike Alvarez Jr. (Devine, Texas), who passed away on April 27, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mike Alvarez, Sr. and Candelaria Lopez Alvarez; his daughters, Mary Christine Franklin and Marivel Perez; and his sister Andrea Alvarez Rivers.
He is survived by: his wife Olga Alvarez; his son Mike Alvarez Jr.; his daughter-in-law Jenny; his children, Dolores Everett (Bobby), Gerardo Morales (Linda), Juan S. Morales (Elida) and Maricruz H. Espinosa (Nestor); and his siblings, Agnes Barron-Lopez, Asmer Rivers, Anita Mendoza, Johnny Alvarez and Willie Alvarez. He is also survived by twenty grandchildren and thirty great-grandchildren.
