He was predeceased by: his mother Ramona Aguilar Chavira; and his brother John Chavira. He is survived by: his wife Madelena Chavira; his children, Nicole Del Rio (Julio), Jesse Chavira and Rick Chavira Jr. (Bonnie); his siblings, Yolanda Aguinaga, Ernesto Chavira (Bernie), Victoria Valdez (Edward), Joey Chavira (Amanda), James Chavira (Margie) and Elizabeth Cantu (Gunner); and his grandchildren, Kaleb, Kaiya, Kailyn, Jennifer, Isiah, Jeremiah, Rihanna and Aaliyah. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Natalia Memorial Funeral Home (2048 TX-132, Natalia, TX 78059). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 12:45 PM to 1:15 PM at the St. Joseph's Cemetery.
