He was predeceased by : his parents, Feliciana Ortiz and Amadeo Ortiz; and his siblings, Amadeo, Gilberto, Leandro, Alejandro, Ismael, Nemesio, Basilio Ortiz, Balbina Orosco, Oralia Dominguez, Carolina Garcia and Dominga Hernandez.

He is survived by : his wife Alicia Ortiz; and his children, Dr. Gabriel Ortiz (Veronica), Monica De Leon (Roland), Rebecca Ortiz Rodriguez (Marcelo) and Veronica Hernandez (David). He is also survived by Grandchildren: 11; Great-Grandchildren.
