With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Docha Daniels of Diana, Texas, born in Overton, Texas, who passed away on October 6, 2025 at the age of 90. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Docha Daniels to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, J. D. Maxfield and Grace Maxfield; her husband Doyle; her sons, Charles Morton and John Morton; and her stepsons, William Ray Daniels and Doyle Daniels, Jr..

She is survived by: her children, Docha Danise White (David) and William Morton (Lori); her grandchildren, Courtney Riddle, Kaytlin White, Chelsey Carroll (Clinton Smith), Cheyanne Chidester (Benson), MaLisa Armijo (Arturo), Stephanie McDonald (Demetrius), Ignacio Perez (Karen), Shawnee Daniels, Doyle Curtis Daniels III and Billy Daniels; and her great grandchildren, Emily Riddle, Lucas Ralston, LillyMae Smith, Kristen Perez, Payton Perez, Xander Perez and Piper Perez.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Simmons Hill Baptist Church (4221 Simmons Rd, Diana, TX 75640).

“I taught Mrs. Daniels’s daughter and granddaughters at New Diana ISD. She was always so nice and kind to me. She made me some blackberry fried pies, and they were so delicious! She wrote the recipe down for me, but I could never make them taste as wonderful as she did! I know heaven became a sweeter place when Mrs. Docha arrived ! God bless all of her family! I love all of you! Please accept my sympathy because I realize the heartache her loss will cause! Love, Carol Parrymore”
