It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Verna Adell Gannon of Dickens, Texas, born in Spur, Texas, who passed away on November 7, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Lonnie Bass and Thelma Bass; her husband Sam Gannon; and her brothers, Graden Bass and Tommy Gene Bass.

She is survived by : her children, James Dwayne Gannon of San Angelo, TX, Eddie Gannon (Stefanie) of Jayton, TX, Patricia Edenfield (Floyd) of Dickens, TX and Vickie Blacklock (Brad) of Post, TX; her siblings, Larry Don Bass of Spur, TX, Carlos Bass (Brenda) of Jayton, TX and Gay Nell Smith of Lamesa, TX; and her sisters-in-law, Dixie Bass of Huntington, UT and Billie Bass of Spur, TX. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to any of the following: Dickens Senior Citizens Center; Dickens Co-Spur Public Library or Post Nursing and Rehab Center Activity Fund.
