He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvie Nelson and Ola Mae Nelson; his stepfather Arch Miller; his brothers, Jerry, Garland and Bill Nelson; and his grandchildren, Kenzie, Brice and Wyatt Nelson.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Nelson (Pazdera); his children, Richard Nelson (Robbie), Randall Nelson (Lisa) and Lisa Burnam; his grandchildren, Bailey Nelson, Blaine Nelson (Andie), Bryce Burnam, Chloe Nelson, Aubrea Burnam (Paul Edinburgh, Jr.), Kyndal Burnam, Tyler Nelson, Megan Ratliff (Andrew), Lindsey Clarac and Caitlyn Fisher (Garrett); his great grandchildren, Avri Miles, Preslee, Chandler Ratliff, Landon and Olivia Fisher; his sister Sue Faust; and his brother-in-law George Pazdera (Carolyn).
