The passing of Evelyn Hensley (Dickinson, Texas) leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on November 28, 2025. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Edge and Thelma Edge; her daughters, Joyce and Janice Hensley (Harold Hensley); and her son-in-law Larry Hacker.
She is survived by: her children, Hazel, Inez, Jake, Marvin Jr., Doris, Geneva, Donnie, Carolyn Faye, Kathryn and Brenda; her granddaughters, Linda, Donna and Rhonda; her daughters, Linda Erdman (Robert "Bob"), Donna Hacker and Rhonda Hensley; her sister Geneva Ross; her siblings-in-law, Archie Gautier, Joseph Edwards and Margaret Hensley; her grandchildren, Christopher "Brian" Hensley (Heather Barkley), Melissa Hacker (Joey Gallagher), Robert Hacker (Zarah Socco) and Thomas Hacker; and her great grandchildren, Blue Hacker and Aleister Hensley. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Crowder Funeral Home (851 Farm to Market 517 Rd W, Dickinson, TX 77539). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, Inez requested that donations be made in honor of her son-in-law Bob, to the Gathering Place Interfaith Ministries, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization which serves Brazoria County families affected by dementia, at Gathering Place, P.O. Box 2050, Angleton, TX 77516.
