She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Murray and Ova Lee Martin; her husband Archie Townsend, Jr.; her daughter Amy Townsend; and her siblings, Roy Culver, Jr., Doug Culver, Kathleen Walden and Louise Long.
She is survived by: her children, Mark Townsend (Dodie) and Joy Townsend; her son-in-law Jimmy Corn; her siblings-in-law, Mary Lou Cooper (Wayne) and Riley Townsend; and her grandchildren, Bryon Townsend (Kelley), Whitney Rainey (Travis), Sarah Tidwell (Jeff) and Kara Woods (Eric). She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Dickinson Cemetery (4617 State Hwy 3, Dickinson, TX 77539).
