She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Ray Spruiell and Glenice Davidson "June" Spruiell; her great grandchild James; and her son James Glen Ashley. She is survived by: her husband Jim Ashley of Donie; her sons, John David Ashley (Melissa) of League City and Phillip Ray Ashley (Laura) of Buda; her daughter-in-law Jenifer West of Crockett; and her grandchildren, Brooke Kuza (Adam) of Latexo, Brenna Ashley of Latexo, Ella, Anna, Joel and Luke Ashley of Buda.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (311 Worthy St, Donie, TX 75838). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
