She was predeceased by: her parents, Fidencio Cuevas and Benita Cuevas (Guerra); and her siblings, Maria Cuevas, Pedro Cuevas and Guadalupe Bazaldua.
She is survived by: her son Gustavo Ortiz (Veronica); her sister Fidela Cespedes; and her brother-in-law Emilio Bazaldua. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
