He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Harper and Sue Harper (Gulley); and his granddaughter Evelyn Rose Fox. He is survived by: his wife Debbie Henry; his daughters, Alicia Harper (Darin Ward) and Megan Schrade (Jarrett) of Goliad, TX; his siblings, Sally Ulrey (Bob) of Borger, TX, Mike Harper (Sheila) of Greenbrier and Jim Harper (Cindy) of Nashville, Tennessee; his sister-in-law Carolyn Long (Ted) of Dumas, TX; his grandchildren, Amber Ward of Dumas, TX and Kalynn Bassham (Jaylon) of Stratford, TX; and his great grandchildren, Amelia Grace Fox, Julie Bassham and Braxton Bassham. He is also survived by numerous brother in laws, sister in laws, cousins, nephews, nieces and other extended family.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Beeson-Morrison Funeral Directors (1015 S Dumas Ave, Dumas, TX 79029). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Heart Church (1401 E 14th St, Dumas, TX 79029).
