He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Coffey and Marie Coffey; his wife Judy Kaye Strickland; and his sisters, Donna Sue McClary and Mary Ann Coffey.

He is survived by: his children, Stacey Coffey Hutson (Richard) and Kyle Coffey (Gloria); his grandchildren, Rhett Hutson (Ashley), Ridge Hutson, Crü and Chevëlle Coffey; his great grandchildren, Jacolby and Riley Kaye Hutson; and his sister-in-law Sylvia Strickland.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Beeson-Morrison Funeral Directors (1015 S Dumas Ave, Dumas, TX 79029). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the First Christian Church (423 S Maddox Ave, Dumas, TX 79029).

The family suggests memorials be made to the Moore County 4-H Scholarship Fund.
