He was predeceased by: his parents, Verla Mae Miller and William Louis Kyle; his wife Ellen Schmidt; his sisters, Nina Ellison and Roxie Newcomb; and his brother-in-law Butch Ellison.
He is survived by: his daughters, Carolyn Ferguson (Ryan) and Carrie Gressley (Arend); his grandchildren, Pearson, Brooklyn Ferguson and Norah Gressley; his sister Billye Zak (Joe); and his brother-in-law Jack Newcomb. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Church of Christ (600 Avenue N, Sunray, TX 79086). A burial was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Lane Memorial Cemetery Cemetery.
