We are sad to announce that on May 12, 2026, at the age of 69, Kyle Howard Smith in Eagle Lake, Texas passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Kyle Howard Smith to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Howard Smith and Joy Kyle Smith; and his brother Frank Smith Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Laura Smith of El Campo; his daughters, Erin Young (Brant Young) of Katy and Megan Baker (Scott Baker) of College Station, Texas; his grandchildren, Greyson, Clayton Young, Brady and Brooks Baker; and his sisters, Gay Easterly (Glenn) of Groesbeck, Texas, Mary Ann Smith Knowles of Groesbeck, Texas and Jacqueline Webber (Kelly) of Bay City, Texas. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 30th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Triska Funeral Home (612 Merchant St, El Campo, TX 77437-3440). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Kyle's memory to Houston Hospice, or the Dominantly Inherited Alzheimer's Network (DIAN) research program at Washington University in St. Louis, in support of research that may one day spare other families from this disease.
