He is survived by: his wife Raquel Olivares Thompson; his children, Corey Barnhart (Gracie Casto), Whitney Gilkey (Joe) and Davey Cox (Jessica); his siblings, Janine Bourque (Patrick), Debra Thompson, John Williams (Patricia), Nancy Lanning and Kelly Davis; his grandchildren, Brantlee Snedden, Brayden, Bralynn Gilkey and Casey Barnhart; his mother Jesse Olivares; his sister Edna Olivares Taylor (Buck); his niece Kailey-Estela Bryan (Kaden); and his cousins, Jay Barnhart (Stacy), Donna Lou Tanthorey, Joe, Liz and Alissa Wertz. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends he loved.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Heartland Funeral Home (303 Early Blvd, Early, TX 76802).
