He was predeceased by: his parents, Herschel Wheeler and Maidee Wheeler; his daughter Mika Wheeler; and his grandson-in-law Jesse Melendrez. He is survived by: his sister Glenda Milam (David Milam); his daughters, Stacy Adams (Jerry) and Missi Boatwright (Michael); his grandchildren, Tonya Melendrez, Brooke Herbst (Adam), Chelsea Beslanowitch (Steven) and Hutton Malone; and his great grandchildren, Caden, Chloe, Corbin Melendrez, Emma, Jack Herbst, Madison and Neely Mullins. He is also survived by four nieces and nephews, two great nephews, and numerous cousins.
