It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herbert Dean Hickey (Early, Texas), who passed away on March 5, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Edward and Ivey Marie Hickey (Enyart). He is survived by: his children, Patrick (Pat'Jean Patterson), Ruth Ann, Marty, Joseph Allen Hickey of Brownwood, TX and James'Patrick'Dean Hickey of Brownwood, TX; his stepdaughter Cathy Tomlinson of Lexington, KY.; his grandchildren, Breezy Long (Tim), Crystal Hickey (Sam), Christopher Hickey, Edward Patterson and Bryan'Scotty'Levensky; his great grandchildren, Abigail, Aiden and Karley; his adoptive daughter Michelle Wilkins (Kevin); his grandchildren, Nicholas Wilkins, Maria Ables (Joe), Vincent Wilkins and Mercedes Murphey (Travis); his significant other Linda Lou; the mother of his children Patricia Jean; and his daughter Tanya Valencia Hickey. He is also survived by special friends/adopted family.
Dean loved animals and would have appreciated that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to Corinne T. Smith Animal Center located at 3016 Milam Dr., Brownwood, TX.
