He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Newton Bessent and Ione Stanley Bessent; and his brothers, Stanley Bessent and Lanny Bessent. He is survived by: his children, Amanda Kaye Poole (Scott) of Brownwood and Mark Taylor Bessent (Kara) of Brownwood; his wife Norma Jean Taylor; and his grandchildren, Hannah, Kaden, Taylor and Kailee. He is also survived by his children became adults and he had grandchildren.
