It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bettie Lisby Smith of Edgewood, Texas, who passed away on April 6, 2026, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Reagan Walker and Era Lee Walker; and her son-in-law Phillip Hoedebeck. She is survived by: her children, Elaina Phillips of Whitehouse, Kevin Lisby of Edgewood and Jill Hoedebeck of Edgewood; her stepchildren, Mike Smith of California and Lisa Stokes of Tyler; her grandchildren, Jessica Lisby (Robb), Lindsay Ridley (Jori), Matt Smith (Erika), Sam Stokes (Rachel), Jeff Smith, Sarah Stokes and Seth Stokes; her great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Truett (Judsen) and Evelyn; her great great grandchildren, London and Ivory; her friend Jennifer Caldwell; and her nieces, Cindy Gaddis and Cheryl Sawyer.

Memorials may be made in Bettie's honor to Oak Hill Cemetery in Edgewood.
